Natural Hair Products

Hair is important, when our hair looks good we feel good. So finding natural hair products that care for the planet, whilst giving us maximum good hair days is a mission we do not shy away from. (And just between you and me, I think we’ve found some amazing options, no matter your budget, hair type, or even water type!)

Switching to a Solid Shampoo

Please bear in mind if you’re looking to switch to a solid shampoo, it may take a couple of tries to find the right one for you, and you may have to go through a transition period before your hair is looking its best. If you can make it through it’s worth it. In our experience, Faith Bars and The Solid Bar Company have the lesser/ lighter transition periods on average.

  • Faith in Nature Shampoos and Conditioners:
Faith in Nature award-winning natural hair products are Cruelty-Free and Vegan, made in the UK and come in amazing scents that you’ll find hard to choose between.
There are Liquid versions that come in 100% recycled and recyclable bottles and 5L sizes for refilling, or Solid Shampoo & Conditioner bars that are plastic free, and are shampoo not soap-based.
If your hair needs a little extra TLC or you feel like a pamper then the intensively moisturising Hair Masks are divine.
  • Green People Shampoos and Conditioners:
Green People’s natural hair products are specially formulated for those with sensitive skin, whether your hair needs some intensive repair, your scalp has been irritated or you need something scent-free they have great options for you. There is also a specific Children’s range and a Men’s shampoo.
  • The Solid Bar Company:
For another solid shampoo option, The Solid Bar Company delivers a shampoo-based shampoo bar that is award-winning, salon-approved and has little to no transition period. Their Conditioner bar also doubles very nicely as a shave bar.
  • Friendly Soap:
Friendly Soap offers brilliant Shampoo Bars that are made using ancient methods that produce zero waste. You are also able to dissolve their solid conditioner bars in warm water to create a liquid conditioner if you’d prefer. A little goes a very long way too.
  • Living Naturally:
From Living naturally we have their soap nut-based range of hair care, which is extremely gentle on hair and scalp. Their herbal hair rinse conditioner is perfect for getting rid of build-up on the hair and restoring shine.
  • What Nits:
For anyone with kiddies at school, we have the ‘What Nits‘ range to prevent and treat head lice without harsh chemicals.
