Back to School Cleaning Top Tips

Follow our family friendly top tips for keeping things ship shape and squeaky clean:

      • Get the kids involved – If you can make cleaning into a fun game rather than a punishment, aka “doing a Mary Poppins”,  you’ll be setting your children up with skills for life. And if you want to try having a sing along as you go, why not? Please do share your efforts with us on social media!
      • One job at a time – Unless you have superhero powers (if you do that’s cool) darting around all over the place isn’t going to help you! Decide which room needs your attention the most ( I usually prioritise the bathroom and kitchen) and go over it thoroughly before you move on to anything else.
      • Get ready with the right products – There’s nothing worse than making a start on your mission for the day and finding that you’ve run out of something, stock up in advance.
      • Tick off your list as you go – It’s got to be said, there’s nothing quite as fulfilling as ticking off a list as you go, that feeling of accomplishment is really rather lovely.
      • Life isn’t perfect, don’t expect your house to look like it is – Our house doesn’t look like a show home and that’s ok. We’re busy making memories. Real life is messy and far from perfect, your house can reflect that, don’t sweat the small stuff!
