Can't believe how effective this is review by Tanya on 22/01/2015
About 2 months ago, we had a really embarrassing (and unpleasant) flea problem in the house, to the extent that I stopped inviting people in because every time I sat down I noticed fleas jump on me. We'd never had them before and I felt like we would never get rid of them. My partner bought the cat a flea collar and put one of the spot-on treatments on her. Within a few days, I noticed the cat had big scabs and some fresh sores on her neck under the collar. I removed the collar but there was no improvement. We ended up taking her to the vet and it cost us to have steroid injection and a flea treatment. They said she had flea allergy dermatitis. Within two weeks of that, the cat developed a bad cold and was wheezing and sneezing and blowing bubbles from her nostrils. Back to the vets...I thought we wouldn't be bringing her home. Thankfully antibiotics cleared that, but we still had fleas. My partner bought her another flea collar when the month was up following the vet treatment. Again within a few days her neck was scabby and I had to remove it. I decided to order Billy No Mates tincture, not expecting much success with getting her to eat the food with it on. To my amazement, she did eat it. I have been putting 5 drops in her breakfast and 5 drops in her dinner (I had to get a bottle with a dripper pipette thing like what Bach Flower Remedies come in). Within a week and a few intense hoovering sessions round the house, there were no fleas. She has now been having it on her food for just under 2 months. In that time, I have not seen a single flea on her, and have only seen about 2 tiny baby fleas which must have hatched from the eggs/larvae that were already in the house when we started. Now the problem is under control and we haven't had to risk putting any more harsh chemicals on her. I'm so grateful the fleas have gone, I was getting ready to move out of the house!!!! The bottle is a bit of a weird design, and a bit confusing to work out how to measure doses (hence me using a dropper instead) but it is lasting for ages!
easy to use by putting a small amount of tincture in the food or water each day review by Hazel on 18/12/2013
I had not used this product before. I used it for 6 weeks on my cat and I do believe the fleas decreased each week and now have finally gone.
