Avocado Oil

Quick Overview

An excellent oil for poor skin

Avocado oil is usually categorised as a vegetable oil, although it is actually a fruit. The oil extracted from this fruit is of immense use in Aromatherapy for giving relaxing massages. Texture wise, the oil is a bit heavy and lends a waxy fatty feel to the skin. It penetrates deeply into the skin. It is a rich source of vitamin A and D that are very vital for the human body. It also has a high content of lecithin and potassium.
Deep olive green in colour, Avocado oil has a very sweet and a bit nutty aroma. It is usually classified as mono-unsaturated oil. It is extremely beneficial in treating skin disorders such as Eczema and Psoriasis. It blocks the way for sunrays, thereby protecting your skin from being destroyed by blazing heat of the sun. It nourishes the skin and returns the lost glow and charm to the skin. It can be used independently, but nonetheless, it is used as a base oil in combination with one or the other essential oils such as Almond oil or Grape seed oil.

Please note: This is cold-pressed  oil, and about as natural as you can get. Therefore, it contains pieces of Avocado skin. For use in massage, it would be advisable to strain it through a sieve first.

Avocado trees were originally grown in Central America. In the 21st century, this fruit was considered to be the "fruit of kings" and thus, meant to be consumed only by the Royals. Avocado offers tremendous nutritional advantages and therefore, it is regarded as one of the best fruits gifted to us by Mother Nature. It is rich in Vitamin A, B1, B2, D, and E, which are very essentially required for proper growth and well-being of humans. It also contains the amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, lecithin, and other essential fatty acids. It is especially useful for people suffering from skin problems.

What a great oil! When you first pour a little into your hand you think this is going to be messy but how wrong! It absorbs so well without leaving an oily residue. Practically from the first day of using this oil i noticed a relief from my itchy skin, and i have tried so many things that never worked. I'm finally getting relief!

This avocado oil is a must for my psoriasis prone skin! Due to having sensitive skin I can't use any chemicals on my skin. The aqueous cream prescribed by my doctor made my skin sting, (upon reading the ingredients label it hasa well known skin irritant, SLS in it?!)

After doing some research I learned that avocado oil can help with eczema and psoriasis so I thought it would be worth a try. I am so glad I tried it!

It is a rich oil, but absorbs easily, smells pleasant and best of oil keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. I apply it straight onto damp skin after a bath or shower and it helps lock in the moisture. I mix it with sweet almond oil, add a pump dispenser and I have the perfect body oil at a great price!

I'm a big fan of this product!!!
I always had a dry, very sensitive skin, prone to flaking, so I learned very young to use only natural body care products, and a good rub with natural oil after a bath or shower is a must for me. I don't use any body creams or lotions, just natural oil. I normally use Almond oil, but this Avocado oil is possibly the best thing for my skin- and not only that! It's very rich, quite dense and with an intense nutty fragrance but - surprise!- it is very easily absorbed, and it doesn't clog up pores! It is actually quite good for acne prone skin, I found out... miracles of mother nature!
This oil makes my skin smooth and silky, and feeling well nurtured, even knees and elbows. I also use it as a hand and nails mas: i massage my hands with few drops of it, paying particular attention to the nails and cuticles, then apply the basic Aloe Vera hand cream. I do it in the evening before going to sleep, and it works wonder...
    I <3 Avocado Oil!!
